Barbara Chesneau, 18, a University of Pennsylvania freshman from Miami, swam the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:18.5 at Penn-Temple dual meet in Philadelphia, broke 19-year-old national intercollegiate record.

Jack Morbeck, 16, redheaded, freckle-faced skier from Kellogg, Idaho, junior at Seattle's Lakeside high school, skied off with combined title in National Junior Alpine Championships at Aspen, Colo.

Nera White scored 27 points to lead her Nashville (Tenn.) College team to 48-29 victory over Wayland College of Plainview, Texas for women's national AAU basketball championship at St. Joseph, Mo.

Franklin B. Satterthwaite Jr., 16-year-old Exeter junior from Short Hills, N.J. defeated Renwick McIver of Haverford 15-13, 15-7, 15-8 for Interscholastic Squash Racquets Invitational title in New York.

Charles Bittick, 21, senior at Southern California, swam 100-yard backstroke in 54.4, 200-yard backstroke in 2:00.1 for American, NCAA and meet records at NCAA swimming championships at Dallas.

David Auble, Cornell senior who has lost only once in 53 collegiate wrestling matches, received outstanding wrestler award at NCAA matches at College Park, Md. (see page 61) after winning 123-pound title.

Jim Jacobs, of Los Angeles, took on defending champion John Sloan of Chicago in national YMCA-AAU four-wall handball championship in Minneapolis, defeated him 21-16, 21-17 for this year's singles title.
