Chinese on the Climb

This picture, from the French Communist newspaper l'Humanité, shows a Red Chinese mountain-climbing expedition making its way up the lower slopes of the northern, or Chinese, side of Mount Everest. L'Humanité says the Chinese made it to the top. Now the Communists are reported to be claiming Everest as their own.
