No, it's Rugby, and the player seemingly trying to murder his opponent is none other than Rhodes Scholar Pete Dawkins, former West Point All-America footballer now in his third year at Oxford. As happens in Rugby, Pete let temper get the best of him in a moment of high excitement during the Oxford-Blackheath match, but instead of resenting the lapse British fans seemed to welcome it as a sign that the young American not only was a fine rugger player but human as well.
