Daniel, a senior quarterback and safety at Roncalli High, led the 12--0 Cavaliers to a second straight Class 11B championship. The two-time Joe Robbie MVP rushed for 859 yards and 19 touchdowns; as a defensive player he had 28 tackles and eight interceptions, returning two for touchdowns.

Nogueira, a freshman forward at North Carolina, had a goal and an assist as she led the 27-0-1 Tar Heels to a 2--1 victory over Notre Dame, giving them their 18th NCAA Division I championship. In the tournament semifinals she scored the game-winner, her second of the season, in a 2--0 win over UCLA.
HUNTINGTON VALLEY, PA. > Field Hockey
Vanartsdalen, a sophomore forward at Bloomsburg, led the Huskies to a 24--0 season and the Division II national championship. She had 26 goals and 10 assists for 62 points, the most in the nation this year. The two-time All-America, who has 107 career points, was named womensfieldhockey.com Division II national player of the year.
COTTAGE GROVE, WIS. > Basketball
Flowers, a junior guard at Winona State, was named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference player of the week after helping the 9--1 Warriors to wins over conference rivals Northern State and the University of Mary. In those two victories he averaged 19 points and contributed 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals.

Dixon, a junior outside hitter at Tampa, had a match-high 16 kills as she helped the top-ranked (35--1) Spartans defeat North Alabama and win their first NCAA Division II championship. The All-America, who led the team with 443 kills this season, was named to the national all-tournament team.
SOUTH BOSTON, MASS. > Ice Hockey
Regan, a junior goaltender at New Hampshire, went 9-0-1 with a 1.88 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage in eight starts during a Wildcats 12-game unbeaten streak. He earned his fourth career shutout and was named Hockey East goaltender of the month.
