FLORIEN, LA.
Williams, 18, a 6'5" center for Florien High, has scored 5,200 points in his career and led the Black Cats to a four-year record of 147-60. He is the second-leading high school scorer in history, 1,502 behind Greg Pro-cell, also of Louisiana.

RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y.
Mihalko, 39, coached the girls' field hockey team of Cooperstown Central School to a 13-0-1 season, its second state Class CDE title in three years and its fifth consecutive conference crown. Mihalko's teams have a 17-year record of 140-25-20.

MARLOW, OKLA.
Joe, a 17-year-old junior at Marlow High, set a national indoor high school record in the pole vault by clearing 16'7¼" at the Oklahoma Track Coaches Winter Meet in Oklahoma City. He beat the former mark by one-quarter inch.

INDIANA, PA.
Cindy, a 6'1" senior center for Indiana High, has scored 2,261 points in her career, 24 short of the state record set in 1978 by Deb Christman of Emma-us (Pa.) High. In her four seasons she has so far led the Squaws to 112 victories in 117 games.

HOUSTON
Tabb, a 25-year-old store manager, won the Houston Marathon for the second time, with a clocking of 2:13.35. He beat 1,914 other entrants, including Jay Helgerson of Foster City, Calif., who was running his 52nd marathon in 52 weeks.

YUMI MORDRE
VASHON ISLAND, WASH.
Yumi, a 13-year-old gymnast, received a perfect 10 for a handspring-front (pike) vault at an invitational meet in Bellevue, Wash. and then placed first in the 16-and-under Northshore Invitational meet in Vancouver, British Columbia.
