Jennifer, a 9-year-old midfielder on the Upper Saddle River girls' age-7-to-9 soccer team, had 50 goals and 15 assists in leading the Minnows to a 9-0 record and the Northwest Bergen County Soccer Association co-championship.

Edgardo, an 18-year-old college student, defeated Brad Desaulniers of Montreal 15-6, 17-15, 15-13 to win the U.S. 18-and-under national squash racquets tournament in Philadelphia. He is Mexico's No. 1 amateur player.

CUSTER, MICH.
Kristy, 17, a 5'4" guard at Mason County Eastern High, scored 1,779 points in her basketball career to establish a Michigan girls' record. The old mark of 1,762 was set last year by Evelyn Johnson of Lansing Everett High, sister of the Lakers' Magic.

WILKES-BARRE, PA.
Higgins, 32, the swimming coach at Bishop Hoban High, has guided his team to 105 straight Wyoming Valley Conference dual-meet victories and seven straight District II titles. His teams have not lost a league meet since 1973.

DALLAS
Robin, a seventh-grader at Lake Highlands Junior High, topped off her first year of cross-country competition by running the AAU 10-to-11 age-group Nationals in Raleigh, N.C. with a winning time of 8:31.4 for the 1½-mile course.

EAU CLAIRE, WIS.
Froehlich, 22, a junior at Wisconsin-Eau Claire, set a state record by hoisting a total of 1,205 pounds at the Wisconsin Junior Powerlift Championships in Milwaukee. He bench-pressed 300 pounds, squatted 405 and deadlifted 500.
