Steve, 19, and Greg, 18, brothers and seniors at Mount Vernon High, finished their high school wrestling careers with a combined record of 236 wins, 11 losses and three ties and six state high school titles. Steve won his second straight 138-pound championship and had a four-year record of 116-8-1. Greg won the 132-pound title, making him the fifth four-time champion in Iowa high school history. His career mark was 120-3-2, including a school-record 59 pins.

RIDGWAY, COLO.
Tracy, a 5'11" junior forward, led Ridgway to the girls' state high school basketball title with a tournament-record 103 points in three games. Her regular-season average of 39.7 points a game was highest among girls and boys in Colorado.

MICHAEL DANIELS
TULARE, CALIF.
Daniels, a senior righthander at Tulare Western High, pitched back-to-back no-hitters against Porterville and Delano. In 15 innings he threw only 168 pitches, struck out 34 batters and walked just one. His record is 6-3, with a 0.90 ERA.

SPOKANE
Sister Madonna, 51, a nun assigned to the Good Shepherd Home in Spokane, ran five marathons in the past year, including Boston, where her time of 3:38 is believed to be best among women 50 and over. She took up running five years ago.

TOM JAGER
COLLINSVILLE, ILL.
Jager, 17, set state records in the 100-yard free-style (:44.57) and 100 backstroke (:50.14) at the Illinois high school swimming championships. He trains in St. Louis because Collinsville High has neither a swimming team nor a pool.
