Kevin, 3, the only player that age in the Montgomery County Community Education Soccer League for 4- and 5-year-olds, had seven goals—second best on his team—in leading the Trojans to a 6-0 record. Two of his goals were game-winners.

La Veck, 46, established a U.S. women's record of 21:42:14 in the National TAC 100-mile Racewalking Championship. She became only the second woman to qualify for The Centurion Club of America by walking 100 miles in a race within 24 hours.

Rodney, junior quarterback at Sahuaro High, set state marks when he passed for 444 yards against Amphi High and punted 83 yards against Sabino High. He also starred on Sahuaro's '82 state-title winning basketball and baseball teams.

Lisa, a Watchung Hills Regional High junior, ran her win streak to 70 matches by successfully defending her state high school girls' singles tennis title. In three years of high school competition, she has a 95-1 singles record.

ANNAPOLIS, MD.
Jobson, 32, outsailed 14 of the top yachtsmen and boat designers of the past 20 years in a five-race series to win the Hall of Fame Regatta in Newport, R.I. Jobson was tactician aboard Courageous during her 1977 America's Cup defense.

WARREN, PA.
Beardsley, an Edinboro (Pa.) State College senior, overcame 15° temperatures and ankle-to-calf-deep snow to win the NCAA Division II cross-country title over the 10,000-meter course at St. Cloud (Minn.) State in 36:49.8.
