Sarah, 12, beat 37 older women to win the 5K Autumn Run near Kalispell in 19:04. Two weeks earlier, in a field of some 380 women, she ran a 19:06 and finished second to 37-year-old Ann Danzer in the 5K Rankin Run in Great Falls.

Meckley, 43, has coached Carnegie-Mellon's men's cross-country team to 72 straight dual-meet wins, which is believed to be an NCAA Division III record. He has also coached the track and field team to 46 consecutive dual-meet victories.

MARC TIRIKIAN
GROSSE POINTE WOODS, MICH.
Tirikian, a sophomore soccer forward at Kalamazoo, scored 10 goals in a 20-0 win over Olivet and has 31 other goals to date for the 16-0-1 Hornets. Last year he was the only freshman named to the NCAA Division III All-Mideast team.

Brian, a fifth-grader at Lake Worth Christian School, won the 12-and-under division of the national barefoot water ski championships at McCormick Lakes outside Tampa. He holds two of a possible three junior national records.

Dr. Rocker, a 62-year-old dentist and real-estate developer, claimed his 12th Beechmont Country Club AA golf title since 1940. Rocker, who was on the Ohio State NCAA championship team in 1945, has won the club title in five decades.

SHANE HOLLEY
LAWTON, OKLA.
Shane, a junior quarterback at Marlow Central High, scored 10 touchdowns, passed for another and ran for three two-point conversions to account for 72 points in a 92-6 win over Pernell. He is second in scoring in the state class B.
