Scott, a 6'2", 165-pound senior guard at Fort Thomas Highlands High, scored 69 points in a 116-95 basketball victory over Holmes High. Twice an all-state selection, he hit 27 of 37 shots from the field and 15 of 17 free throws.

Lynda, a senior forward on the Ventura High basketball team, set a national high school girls' career assist record of 857, surpassing the mark of 670 set by Tami Fick of Coronado, Calif. from 1976 to '79. She had 293 assists this season.
Holland, 63, a retired independent trucker who has been bowling since 1950, rolled an 845 series, including a pair of perfect games, at Ozark Lanes in Fayetteville, Ark. Holland, who competes in the Ozark Businessmen league, averages 202.

Pauling, a 51-year-old nutritionist, set a national meet masters age-group record of 2:31.6 in the 1,000 yards at the TAC championships in Baton Rouge. He was the '85 masters athlete of the year in the Metropolitan Athletics Congress.
SPRING GREEN, WIS.
Shelly, a senior at River Valley High, ended her four-year basketball career with 2,108 points to become the state's alltime scoring leader. Ann Kattreh of Kohler High set the previous mark of 1,993 points from 1980 to '83.
