EDITED BY Robert Sullivan

In the fourth inning of a recent game between Riverside Baptist
and American Wood Frame of the Fort Myers, Fla., slo-pitch league,
the Framers had runners on first and third with nobody out. A sharp
grounder to short turned into a 6-4-3-2 triple play when a quick
throw home caught the runner trying to score.
So the Baptists, surging with momentum after their big play,
loaded the bases in the bottom of the inning. Then a shot to third
was taken on the short hop. The third baseman tagged the nearby
runner, stepped on third for a second out and threw to second to end
the inning. The twin triple killings appreciably quickened the pace
of a game that Riverside Baptist eventually won 14-6.
