Brian, a junior center on the Downers Grove North High hockey team, had four goals and an assist in a 41-second span to lead the Trojans to a 17-4 victory over St. Joseph. He has had 63 goals and 43 assists in 25 games this season.
Costello, 58, became the first college coach to win 200 games in both men's and women's basketball. After having guided the University of Southern Maine men to a 207-144 mark from 1956 to '71, he has led USM's women to a 209-66 record.
Noe, a senior at Kamehameha High, pitched the second perfect game of her high school soft-ball career, a 1-0 win over University High on Jan. 3. Noe, who has pitched eight no-hitters, struck out eight and drove in the winning run.
Alison, a junior at Clarence Central, set a state indoor high-jump record of six feet at the Dartmouth Relays. That tied her for sixth on the all-time U.S. high school indoor list. Lisa Bernhagen of Hailey, Idaho, holds the record of 6'3".

Alexander, a 6'4" senior forward for Cal State—Dominguez Hills, has scored 1,674 points, breaking the California Collegiate Athletic Association career record of 1,551, set by Eric Butler of Chapman College from 1979 to '82.
Tim, a senior at Lexington High, beat Jason Mully of Leverett, Mass., by 1.451 seconds to win the Junior North American Luge Championships, at Lake Placid. Tim made three runs down the 740.5-meter course in 1:59.392.
