Christin, a recent graduate of Bay High, pitched a perfect game, fanning 20 of 21 batters to beat Medina's Buckeye High 3-0 in the Class AA soft-ball tournament district semifinal. Chadwick had 10 no-hitters in her four-year career.
Shannon, a ninth-grader at West High, bowled a 298,300 and 256 series at a tournament in Waterloo. His 854-pin total was the best junior score sanctioned by the Young American Bowling Alliance. The perfect game was his third.
Jennifer, who was recently graduated from Westminster Academy, ran the 440 in 59.5 seconds to win her fifth consecutive Class A championship in that event. No other Florida athlete has ever won five state titles in the same sport.

Occomy, who's a senior at Brandeis University, won the NCAA Division III singles tennis championship with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Scott Milener of the University of Rochester (N.Y.). Occomy didn't lose a set in his six tournament matches.

Cronin, 50, coached the Sweet Briar College riding team to its third straight NRC collegiate crown. His all-woman squad has won the title in this coed sport, which includes jumping, dressage and equitation, in six of the last 11 years.
