Stewart, 47, a writer, won 182 masters track and field events in 1988. That total included U.S. age 45-49 women's titles in the heptathlon, pentathlon, 55-meter hurdles, shot put, triple-jump, high jump and 20-pound-weight throw.

SETH McCLENNEN
HOLLISTON, MASS.
Seth, a senior cocaptain of the Holliston High cross-country team, finished first in all seven of the Panthers' conference meets this fall and led them to their fourth straight undefeated season and the Tri-Valley league title.

BETH BYRNE
COLLEGEVILLE, PA.
Byrne, a senior striker at Franklin & Marshall, set women's college soccer goal-scoring records with 10 in one game, 110 in her career and a 1.8-per-game average. She is the fifth college player, male or female, ever to score 100 or more goals.

SHERIDAN, IND.
Brett, a 180-pound junior tailback at Sheridan High, set a national single-season scoring record with 453 points. He ran for 301 yards and five touchdowns as the Blackhawks defeated Bremen 59-0 in the state championship game.

MINNEAPOLIS
Gloria, a 5'11" senior middle blocker for North High, had 25 kills, 12 blocks and 6 assists in the Polars' 11-15, 15-10, 15-6, 15-5 win over Washburn High, which gave North its first Minneapolis City Conference girls' volleyball title.

DENVER
Cole, a 74-year-old retired insurance executive, made 105 ringers in 240 horseshoe pitches to win the Class D open division at the World Senior Games in St. George, Utah. Many of his more than 100 rivals were in their 50's.
