Daphne, a senior guard at Bogan High, averaged 25.6 points a game this season and set an Illinois girls' high school basketball record with 78 points in an 80-13 win over Blue-Central High. She shot 36 of 43 from the floor.

Clarke, a senior at Christ Church Episcopal, threw a no-hitter with 18 strikeouts in the Cavaliers' six-inning, 11-0 win over Tamassee-Salem High. Clarke also went 4 for 4 at the plate, with a double, a triple and two RBIs.

DAYVILLE, CONN.
Kerry, a junior at Killingly High, swept the vault (9.5), the beam (9.2), the bars (9.0) and the floor exercise (9.3) to win the all-around title and lead the Redgals to the Eastern Connecticut Conference gymnastics crown.

PATERSON, N.J.
Jordan, 22, rolled a 300-299-300 series at Garden State Bowl in Union, N.J. His 899 was the best series ever sanctioned by the American Bowling Congress, surpassing the 886s rolled by Allie Brandt in 1939 and by Pat Landry in '88.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA.
Darby, now 13, set a national age-group (11-12) record for the 100-yard individual medley (58.1) at a Virginia swimming meet and then broke a second national mark with a 56.21 in the 100 butterfly at the U.S. Junior Olympics.

RAE CLARK
SANTA CLARA, CALIF.
Clark, 37, a shipment handler, ran 100 miles in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Flushing, N.Y., in 12:12:19 to win the TAC/USA championship and break Stu Mittleman's seven-year-old U.S. record for the distance by 44:15.
