MINNETONKA, MINN.
Sherri, a senior at Hopkins High, won the Class AA girls' gymnastics all-around title and finished first in the vault and uneven bars competition to lead the Royals to the state team title. They beat Eden Prairie High by .5 of a point.

HARTFORD
Stubbs, a senior center at Trinity College and the NCAA's top rebounder (18.1 a game) this season, became the first player in school history to score 1,000 points and get 1,000 rebounds. He ended his career with 1,346 and 1,109, respectively.

MARION SMITH
BECKLEY, W.VA.
Smith, 58, a great-grandmother of four, lifted a total of 705 pounds and established four world records in the women's 55-59 age group in her first powerlifting competition. She squatted 254, bench-pressed 165 and deadlifted 286.

MARTIN ZUBERO
GAINESVILLE, FLA.
Zubero, a University of Florida junior, won five events at the SEC swimming championships. He set conference records in the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes and the 200 individual medley and was named the meet's top male performer.

DREXEL HILL, PA.
Rebecca, a junior at Upper Darby High, won a one-meter diving competition and an all-around gymnastics title for the Royals one day and the long jump (17'3½") at the Greater Philadelphia track and field coaches' meet the next.

MATT HANUTKE
CITY POINT, WIS.
Matt, a senior at Pittsville High, pinned Derrick Meyer of Loyal High in the Class C 119-pound final to become the state's first four-time wrestling champion. He won titles at four different weights during his 117-0 career.
