The allure of minor league baseball lies in its good-time flavor, its grass-roots simplicity and its rough-edged beauty. To capture those qualities, I hit the road armed only with a polaroid spectra camera. In 10 days I visited seven towns, the baseball homes of the Wansan (Wise.) Timbers, the London (Ontario) Tigers, the Quad City Angels (Davenport, Iowa), the El Paso Diablos, the Pittsfield (Mass.) Mets, the Gastonia (N.C.) Rangers and the Dunedin (Fla.) Blue Jays. This is what I saw.
