Sperber, 73, a retired secretary, used a three-wood to score a hole in one on the par-3, 104-yard 4th hole at Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction. It was the fourth time in as many years that Sperber, a 33 handicapper, aced the hole.

Dusty, 18, a first baseman for the American Legion Edmond Bulldogs, went 6 for 6 in a doubleheader sweep of the Harrah (Okla.) Majors. He had two doubles, four straight home runs and 13 RBIs. He finished the season batting .515, with 26 HRs.

Sandra, a recent graduate of Maiden High, won the girls' all-around competition at the National High School Gymnastics Championships, in Lincoln, Neb. She placed first on the balance beam, second on the uneven bars and fourth in the vault.

Lizzie, 8, a center forward, scored 17 goals in nine games in leading the otherwise all-male Batmen of the AYSO Soccer League seven-to nine-year-old age group to the championship. She had at least one goal in each of her team's games.

Jauron, 13, won the 100 meters, the 400 meters and the long jump in the 13-14 age group at a TAC Junior Olympics regional track and field meet in Sterling, III. His long jump of 19'11½" at an earlier meet established a city age-group record.

Kristen, a recent graduate of North Penn High, swam the anchoring freestyle leg on the Maidens' 200-yard medley relay team that won the state girls' title and set a state high school girls' record of 1:46.93, surpassing the old mark by three seconds.
