Aasen, a junior at Purdue, broke all 200 clay targets to become the first female collegiate shooter to finish with a perfect score in class singles at the Grand American World Trapshooting Tournament. The Boilermakers, who hit a collegiate record 978 of 1,000 targets, won their ninth straight national title in the event's collegiate division.

Janet, a senior at Palos Verdes Peninsula High, who holds the 18-and-under national hard court and Easter Bowl tennis titles, went undefeated this season for the Panthers. Peninsula High, with four other nationally ranked players, ended the regular season 20-0 to extend its winning streak to 68 since the school was formed, in 1991.
Holleran, 26, the women's squash coach at Penn, beat Ellie Pierce 4-9, 10-8, 9-2, 5-9, 9-6 to win her second straight USSRA national soft ball championship, in San Francisco. Earlier this year Holleran won her fifth consecutive U.S. hard ball title, in Philadelphia, as well as the Pan-American Federation Championship, in Argentina.
NEW MILFORD, N.J.
Dolce, 84, won the 50-, 100-, 200-, 400- and 800-meter freestyle races in the 80-to-84 age group at the national long-course masters championships, in Minneapolis. In each event she broke the national record. Dolce holds the 50- and 200-meter short-course and the 1,500 meter long-course age-group freestyle world records.
Marcus, a senior at Westhill High, set a state single-game rushing record, with 445 yards on 36 carries, in a 40-12 win over Solvay High. He surpassed the mark of 431 yards, set by John Donner of Starpoint Central High in 1989. In eight games this fall Marcus gained 1,892 yards on 222 carries and made a team-high 139 tackles as a linebacker.
ORLAND PARK, ILL.
Billy, a forward on the Brother Rice High soccer team, broke the Illinois career goals record in a 6-0 victory over Mount Carmel High. Billy had 25 goals as a freshman, 40 as a sophomore, 50 as a junior and 43 this season to establish the mark of 158. The previous record of 142 was set by John Thurow of Hinckley-Big Rock High, in 1988.
