Bob Fischer

Fischer, 53, won the 500-, 800-, 1,000-and 1,500-meter races in the over-50 age group at the national long-track speed skating championships. Fischer, who just missed making the 1964 U.S. Olympic team in the 10,000, has also won national short-track titles in each of the last three years.
Caitlin Daly

Caitlin, 7, a forward and goalie, and one of three girls on the 16-player Spa Spartans hockey team, scored three goals in a 9-2 semifinal victory over Roosevelt South White at the local Super Bowl Weekend Mite Ice Hockey Festival. She also had a goal and an assist in the Spartans' 5-3 opening-round win.
Kareem Streete-Thompson
HOUSTON
Streete-Thompson, a senior political-science major at Rice, won the Southwest Conference indoor long-jump crown for the third straight year, with a leap of 26'7¾". His best 55-meter-dash time, 6.16 seconds, is the second fastest by a collegian this season. He was a 1992 Olympian for his native Cayman Islands.
Raef LaFrentz
MONONA, IOWA
Raef, a 7-foot, 225-pound senior center, averaged 36.6 points, 16.4 rebounds and 6.2 blocks to lead the MFL/Mar-Mac High basketball team to a 22-1 record and a berth in the state finals. He had 50 points and 17 rebounds against New Hampton and 48 and 25 against West Central.

Prapti Jensen
OTTAWA
Jensen, a 32-year-old secretary, skated 7K, cross-country-skied 7K and ran 8K in 1:09.42, to win the women's division of the 12th Winterlude Triathlon. A former member of the Canadian cycling squad, Jensen, who races for the Sri Chimnoy marathon team, has won the CN Tower stair climb four times.
Pat Maginn
JONESBORO, GA.
Pat, a 171-pound senior wrestler at Jonesboro High, successfully defended his state AAAA title by beating Danny Elrod of Sequoia High 13-3. Pat, who became the first four-time Clayton County wrestling titlist when he pinned Glen Sawyer of Forest Park High, ended his varsity career with 69 straight wins.
