Solomon Bates, LB, Arizona State--At 17, the 6'3", 255-pound
Bates is the youngest player in Division I-A. Before suffering a
season-ending torn MCL in his right knee on Oct. 30, he had 42
tackles, third most on the team at the time.

Deon Burnett, RB, Washington State--The 6-foot, 205-pound
Burnett is one of the 2-8 Cougars' few standouts. He leads the
team in rushing (857 yards) and scoring (12 touchdowns).

Daryl Dixon, FS, Florida--Since getting his first start, on Oct.
9, the 5'11", 180-pound Dixon has been stellar. He has 36
tackles, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Travis Garvin, WR, Missouri--The 6'1", 182-pound Garvin wears
number 9 in honor of his high school teammate Peter Warrick and
has been nearly as explosive as the Florida State receiver,
averaging 17.1 yards per catch.

Joe Igber, RB, Cal--Igber, a 5'8", 190-pounder who holds
Hawaii's high school career records for rushing yards (4,472)
and touchdowns (56), is the Bears' leading ground gainer with
641 yards.

Kareem Kelly, WR, Southern California--The 6'1", 185-pound
speedster is the Trojans' go-to guy. He ranks third in the
Pac-10 in catches with 50 and has 863 receiving yards and two
touchdowns.

Jerel Myers, WR, LSU--The 6-foot, 175-pound Myers has emerged as
the 2-8 Tigers' most reliable (and only) offensive weapon. He
has 61 receptions for 827 yards and two touchdowns.

Dan Nystrom, K, Minnesota--Nystrom, a 5'11", 205-pounder, has
converted 37 of 38 extra point attempts and 14 of 18 field goal
tries, including the 32-yarder as time expired that gave the
Gophers a 24-23 victory over Penn State.

Casey Printers, QB, Texas Christian--The Horned Frogs began 0-2
but are 5-2 since the 6'2", 196-pound Printers became the
starter. He has thrown for 1,083 yards and eight touchdowns.

Lucas Staley and Fahu Tahi, RBs, BYU--Operating in an offense
that averages 325.8 passing yards per game, this twosome has
given the Cougars another dimension, combining for 855 rushing
yards and 12 touchdowns.
