His time in the 4.9-mile race (25:37) was almost a minute faster than that of second-place Gaby Rodriguez of Florida International.COLOR PHOTO: CHAD CARDER Charity Kuhlmann, Sioux City, Iowa Rugby Kuhlmann, a senior wing for the South Dakota women's team, scored 40 tries for the Coyotes, who outscored their last three opponents 196-7 and finished the season 10-0, qualifying for the Western Collegiate championships next April. Swimming Kelly, a senior at Gillette High, broke the national high school 50-yard freestyle mark in her final race. Her record 22.75 came in the first leg of the 4x50 free relay. Football Jaren, a sophomore running back at Cedar Crest High, rushed for 375 yards and four touchdowns in a 39-21 win over Hempfield High of Landisville. He ran for 1,526 yards, averaged 7.7 yards per carry and scored 24 touchdowns in 10 regular-season games. The Buccaneers, who won their 11th state title last Saturday, have lost only 93 of 603 matches in the 17 seasons that Dagostino has been coaching the team.
