Diary of Kobe Bryant
MTV 10:30 PM It's Kobe unplugged, as the Lakers' star reveals his
most intimate thoughts about Shaq ("He tells me all the time,
'Kobe, I'll be your bodyguard'"), facing Michael again ("It's not
something I'm circling on my calendar") and fidelity to Vanessa,
his new bride ("My message to the women out there still trying to
kick it to me: off-limits"). Now if MTV can get Kobe and six
other strangers to share a house together for six months, it will
have a major hit on its hands.

SUNDAY 11/18

EMC World Cup Final Round
ABC 4 PM Save for Chevy Chase and Rodney Dangerfield in
Caddyshack, is there a more telegenic tandem in golf than Tiger
Woods and David Duval? The dream team will be in Gotemba City,
Japan, this week to defend its World Cup championship against a
field of two-man teams representing 24 countries. The tournament
will feature two days of foursomes, two days of four-ball and, no
doubt, an entire weekend of ABC fawning over Tiger, who also won
the event, with Mark O'Meara, in 1999.

Packers at Lions
Broncos at Cowboys
FOX 12:30 PM and CBS 4 PM It's appropriate that the 0-8 Lions are
hosting the opening game of the annual Thanksgiving Day
doubleheader, because there's no team in the NFL that's a bigger
turkey. As for the latter half of the foul doubleheader, the
thought of new Cowboys quarterback Ryan Leaf heaving passes is
enough to give us indigestion. Bon appetit, Broncos!

Don't Miss

Lennox Lewis vs. Hasim Rahman
HBO PAY-PER-VIEW 9 PM On Aug. 30, in a scene seemingly inspired
by Mr. T's portrayal of Clubber Lang in Rocky III, Lewis and
Rahman went toe-to-toe during ESPN's now defunct show, Up Close.
After Rahman questioned Lewis's manhood and Lewis insulted
Rahman's sister, Lewis grabbed Rahman's jacket and wrestled the
IBF and WBC champ to the floor. Both fighters rolled over a
table--which collapsed faster than you can say Peter
McNeeley--before the combatants were separated by members of their
respective camps. At $49.95 one can only hope that the fight at
the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, a rematch of
Rahman's stunning fifth-round knockout on April 22, will be as
dramatic as either one of the previous Lewis-Rahman battles.

Where have you gone Roy Firestone? After uninspiring performances
by Firestone's Up Close replacements Chris Myers and Gary Miller,
ESPN canceled the show on Oct. 1 and replaced it with Unscripted,
a supposedly edgier sports interview program hosted by former MTV
anchor Chris Connelly. Connelly's often goofy performances have
been making the Myers-Miller days look good by comparison.... New
York Stories ... Of Enduring Spirit (The Golf Channel, Wednesday,
9 p.m.), a one-hour documentary, tells the tales of five area
golfers, four of whom were killed in the Sept. 11 attacks.
