PGA champion Rich Beem, who teamed with Peter Lonard to win the
Hyundai Team Matches at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point,
Calif., is two for two this Silly Season. Beem, John Daly and Jim
Furyk were victorious earlier this month at the tape-delayed
Wendy's Three-Tour Challenge, which will be broadcast on Dec.
21--22 on ABC.... Ray Floyd and Tom Lehman were a perfect 3--0
for the victorious U.S. team at the UBS Warburg Cup.... Colin
Montgomerie, who broke a 15-month winless streak on Nov. 10 at
the Volvo Masters, won for the first time in Asia, at the TCL
Classic in Dongguan, China. Monty enjoyed a 41-hole stretch
without a bogey.... Tommy Nakajima, 48, made the Taiheiyo Masters
his 46th Japanese tour title by beating Hidemichi Tanaka by one
stroke and Aaron Baddeley by two.
