It usually takes four days of either exceptional ball striking or
terrific scrambling to win at Harbour Town, with its tiny greens
(they average only 4,000 square feet) that are among the most
difficult to hit on Tour. Since 1997 the players who have made
the cut at the Heritage have hit just 9.93 greens in regulation
(GIR) per round. Only the U.S. Open (9.50) has a lower average.
