The Week In Television

June 22, 2003

JUNE 20-26

FRIDAY 6/20 > ESPN 3:15 PM > White Sox at Cubs

Before arriving on the North Side in 1992, Sammy Sosa uncorked 28
home runs in 2 1/4 seasons ('89 to '91) for the White Sox. He'll
be back from his suspension to play in this interleague tussle.

FRIDAY 6/20 > HBO 11:30 PM > On the Record with Bob Costas

Costas pumps it up with Arnold Schwarzenegger, a potential
Republican choice to run for California governor, and also dishes
with Nike prince LeBron James.

SATURDAY 6/21 > FOX 1 PM > Yankees at Mets

The Subway Series has gone in only one direction--toward the
Bronx: In six years of interleague play the Mets have never taken
a season series from the Yankees.

SATURDAY 6/21 > HBO 10 PM > Lennox Lewis vs. Vitali Klitschko

The 6'5" champion Lewis (40-2-1, 31 KOs) puts his WBO title on
the line against the 6'8" Klitschko (32-1, 31 KOs), a late
fill-in for the injured Kirk Johnson.

MONDAY 6/23 > ESPN2 7 AM > Wimbledon, Early Rounds

ESPN and ESPN2 will air an unprecedented 120 hours of play from
the All England Club--including plenty of Lleyton Hewitt and
Serena Williams, last year's champs.

THURSDAY 6/26 > ESPN 7 PM > The 2003 NBA Draft

LeBron James. Darko Milicic. Carmelo Anthony. And then it gets
interesting.

DON'T MISS

SUNDAY 6/22 > ESPN CLASSIC 4 PM

Classic Wimbledon:
BJORN BORG VS. JOHN MCENROE, 1980 FINAL

On the eve of the first rounds of Wimbledon, a replay of arguably
the most dramatic final in the tournament's history, including
vintage McEnroe theatrics and a terrific 18-16 tiebreaker in the
fourth set.
