Greatest Moment

Compiled by Richard Deitsch

The legend of Michael Vick was born in 1999 when, as a redshirt
freshman, he led Virginia Tech to its first 11-0 regular-season
record and a spot in the national championship game. In a taut
Sugar Bowl showdown the Hokies held a 29-28 lead in the fourth
quarter before falling to top-ranked Florida State 46-29. Vick &
Co. ended up with the No. 2 ranking, the school's highest ever.
