MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER FINALS ABC 3:30 PM > The Chicago Fire and the
San Jose Earthquakes square off at The Home Depot Center in
Carson, Calif. Michelle Branch plays the halftime show.

PURDUE AT DUKE ESPN 2:30 PM > The Jimmy V. Women's Classic is a
rematch of the 1999 NCAA basketball title game, which the
Boilermakers won 62-45.

MONDAY 24

DIVISION I NCAA CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS, AT NORTHERN IOWA > A
Stanford sweep? The defending champ men are favored; the Cardinal
women should edge '02 winners BYU.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! RUDY TOMJANOVICH, 55, went 460-358 in 12 years as Rockets coach but was diagnosed with bladder cancer and retired in
May. Now he's cancer-free.

TUESDAY 25

COLD PIZZA ESPN2 7 AM > Falcons running back Warrick Dunn and
flamboyant pro bowler Pete Weber drop by the fledgling news and
sports morning show.

REAL SPORTS WITH BRYANT GUMBEL HBO 10 PM > The season premiere

guard Jason Kidd, in L.A. to play the Clippers on Thursday, chats
with the hoops-junkie host.

THURSDAY 27

PACKERS (5-5) AT LIONS (3-7) FOX 12:30 PM > Green Bay tries to
stay in the wild-card chase. If the game turns into a turkey,
