TIMES) > A look at the year's top athletic performances,
leading to the naming of SI's Sportsman. James Brown hosts.

MICKEY MANTLE AUCTION AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN (AND ON EBAY) >
The Mantle family is selling autographed balls, MVP trophies and
the silver bat given for Mick's 1956 batting title.
2003 PGA TOUR Q-SCHOOL GOLF 12:30 PM > Of some 170 players,
about 30 get Tour cards. Each year a few nervous golfers throw
up on the course.

KNICKS AT LAKERS NBATV 10:30 PM > L.A. walloped the Knicks in New
York in the teams' first meeting, and even if Knicks forward
Antonio McDyess is healthy, the Lakers could wallop them again.

PISTONS AT CAVALIERS TNT 7:30 PM > Two 18-year-olds, Cleveland's
main man LeBron James and Detroit backup Darko Milicic, cross

AVALANCHE AT CANUCKS REGIONAL COVERAGE 10 PM > Two of the NHL's
most dynamic offenses vie for the Northwest Division lead.
