Denver had lost all four of its previous Super Bowls, but on Jan.
25, 1998, the Broncos finally broke through when they defeated
the Green Bay Packers 31-24 behind three rushing touchdowns from
game MVP Terrell Davis and the leadership of 37-year-old
quarterback John Elway. Having broken its slump, Denver defended
its title a year later with a 34-19 win over Atlanta.
