Three Pointer

1. The Bracket Busters should be changed. Instead of risking
their fragile RPI rankings by playing each other, mid-majors
should play power conference teams, which would give them a
better chance to improve their NCAA status.

2. Memphis is for real. The Tigers, who finally entered the Top
25 at No. 23 last week, claimed sole possession of first place in
Conference USA with a 73-66 win over UAB last Saturday.

3. Cal's bubble has burst. The Golden Bears began last week tied
for third place in the Pac-10, but after losing to UCLA and USC,
they'll have to win the league tournament to get into the NCAAs.
