Three Pointer

1. Blake Stepp wuz robbed. At week's end Gonzaga's senior point
guard was shooting 42.5% from three-point range and was seventh
in the nation in assists (6.9 average) for the No. 4 Bulldogs. He
had even passed John Stockton to take second place on the Zags'
career assist list. So how could he not be among the 30 finalists
for the Wooden Award, given to the nation's top player?

2. Watch out for Washington. Winners of 10 of their last 12, the
Huskies (15-10) are in second place in the Pac-10 and are a
threat to knock off top-ranked Stanford in Seattle on Saturday.

3. Conference USA has never looked better. Three of the five
schools bolting for the Big East in 2005-06--Cincinnati,
Louisville and DePaul--are in line with Memphis and Charlotte to
get a league-record five tournament bids.
