Tiffany Hodgens, SAN DIEGO
Water Polo

Hodgens, a senior attacker at UC Davis, scored 10 goals in three
games on March 6, bringing her career total to 330 goals, the
most ever by a woman college player. She is a two-time
All-America.

Nicholas Chinman, BOULDER, COLO.
Fencing

Nicholas, a sophomore at Boulder High, won the gold medal in
cadet men's epee and the silver medal in junior men's epee at the
Junior Olympics in Cleveland. He is ranked first in the nation in
both categories and will go to the junior world championships.

Matt Rawlings, WHARTON, TEXAS
Shooting

Rawlings, a freshman at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, shot
a perfect 400 from the prone position to win the individual
small-bore title at the NCAA championships. He also was second in
air rifle as the Nanooks won a sixth straight team title.

Briana Jackucewicz, HOWELL, N.J.
Track and Field

Briana, a seventh-grader at Howell Middle School North, lowered
the 5,000-meter high school record by nine seconds, to 16:43.02,
at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships. No
seventh-grader had set a national high school record since Mary
Decker in 1971.

Jeremy Rosenbalm, ARLINGTON, ORE.
Basketball

Jeremy, a senior guard at Arlington High, scored 52 points in a
69-65 win over Dufur High, setting a state tournament single-game
record. His career total of 2,324 points makes him the third most
prolific scorer in Oregon history.

Emmett Willson, SHEPHERD, MONT.
Wrestling

Willson, a senior in the 197-pound class at Montana State
Northern, won his third title at the National Association of
Intercollegiate Athletics championships. He was undefeated for
the season and was named the tournament's outstanding wrestler.

Tasha Humphrey, GAINESVILLE, GA.
Basketball

Tasha, a senior forward at Gainesville High, led the Red
Elephants to their third Georgia AAA girls' title, scoring 29
points in a 61-33 win over Fannin County High. She had 2,663
career points and was named to the McDonald's All-American team.
