Becky Berzonski, NORTH EAST, PA.
Golf

Berzonski, a junior at UNC Wilmington, won the Big South women's
golf championship and led the Lady Seahawks to their third
straight team title. She also won two regular-season individual
titles and was named conference player of the year.

Joe Walters, ROCHESTER, N.Y.
Lacrosse

Walters, a sophomore attack at Maryland, was named Atlantic Coast
Conference player of the year, following his rookie of the year
win in 2003. The tournament MVP, he scored a conference-record
nine goals as he led the Terps to the ACC championship.

Mel Thomas, CINCINNATI
Basketball

Mel, a senior guard at Mount Notre Dame High, averaged 20.9
points as she led the Cougars to a 28-0 record and the state
Division I girls' title. She was named Ohio's Ms. Basketball by
the Associated Press.

Shaun Dyk, MOORESVILLE, N.C.
VOLLEYBALL

Dyk, a junior opposite at California Baptist University, had 15
kills and five digs to defeat Newman in the national championship
match and give the Lancers their third NAIA volleyball title. He
was named the tournament MVP.

Kate Pouliot, FOUNTAIN INN, S.C.
Softball

Kate, a senior righthander at Hillcrest High, has struck out 154
batters in 110 innings to lead the Rams, Class AAAA champions for
the last two years, to a 29-2 record. She has a 0.27 ERA for the
season and holds the state record for consecutive victories, with
66.

Jeff Glasbrenner, LITTLE ROCK
Wheelchair Basketball

Glasbrenner, 31, a center for the Denver Rolling Nuggets, scored
a tournament-record 63 points in a 110-99 win over Dallas for the
National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament Division I title. His
point total broke the previous mark, set in 1968, by 24 points.

Audrey Slaughter, HENDERSON, KY.
Archery

Audrey, a sixth-grader at South Middle School, won the individual
girls' elementary division title at the 2004 National Archery in
Schools Championship in Louisville. She scored 259 out of a
possible 300 total points.
