Dave McNally, Baseball player
The lefthander from Billings won 184 big league games, including
33 shutouts for the Baltimore Orioles, for whom he beat the Los
Angeles Dodgers 1-0 to clinch the 1966 World Series. He won 15
straight games, tying an American League record, to start the '69
season.

Pat Donovan, Football player
The All-America defensive end at Stanford switched positions in
the NFL and became a four-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle for the
Dallas Cowboys. At Helena High he was all-state in football and
basketball and the state champion in the shot put and discus.

Dave Dickenson, Football player
The Great Falls native quarterbacked Montana to its first
national championship in 1995, earning the Walter Payton Award as
Division I-AA's top player. In 1999, he was the CFL's Most
Outstanding Player and led Calgary to the Grey Cup despite a
dislocated shoulder.

Lones Wigger, Rifleman
The four-time Olympian from Great Falls won gold medals in
small-bore and free rifle at the 1964 and '72 Games,
respectively, and in '91 was one of four charter inductees into
the USA Shooting Hall of Fame. He was on two 300-meter free rifle
world championship teams.

Shannon Cate, Basketball player
The Billings resident is the only Big Sky Conference basketball
player, male or female, to be named a first-team All-America. A
6'1" forward, she scored a league-record 2,172 points and led
Montana to four NCAA tournament appearances between 1988-89 and
'91-92.

Corey Widmer, Football player
A New York Giants linebacker for eight seasons, Widmer was a
two-time All-Big Sky Conference selection at Montana State, and
the Big Sky defensive MVP in 1990. At Bozeman High he was
all-state in football and wrestling.
