NCAA MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP > In Hot Springs, Va., top-ranked
Oklahoma State is in the field for the 58th consecutive year. In
April, Cowboys freshman Casey Wittenberg shot a 31 on the back
nine of his final round at the Masters to tie for 13th, the
highest finish by an amateur at Augusta since Charles Coe
finished ninth in 1962.

meeting of Magic Johnson's Lakers and Larry Bird's Celtics. Says
former Boston forward Cedric Maxwell: "There was hatred. Now we
are like old soldiers." Cornbread should feel old: '84 was also
the year in which Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James were born.

TUESDAY 8

IN STORES: FIELD OF DREAMS 15TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION DVD > The
two-disc set, out just in time for Father's Day, lays on the
schmaltz. Among the extras are a roundtable featuring director
Phil Alden Robinson and star Kevin Costner and a discussion of
baseball's greatest father-and-son moments.

WEDNESDAY 9

NCAA TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS > Watch for Sanya Richards, a
Texas sophomore who in March broke the 13-year-old collegiate
record in the 400 meters. On the men's side, distance specialist
Alistair Cragg, an Arkansas senior who will represent Ireland at
the Olympics, won three events at last month's SEC championships.

THURSDAY 10

CARDINALS AT CUBS WGN 2:10 PM > Mark Prior, on the DL all season
with Achilles and elbow injuries, could take the hill for the
Cubs. -- SPORTSCENTURY: MARTINA NAVRATILOVA ESPN CLASSIC 8 PM >
For those who've forgotten how spectacular Navratilova (who got
bounced in the first round of the French Open last month) used to
be.
