SILLY SEASON, golf's year-end run of made-for-TV events, just
got sillier: the Tommy Bahama Challenge, a new event that will
pit four-man teams of young guns--players 30 and under--from
the U.S. against a squad from the rest of the world. What's
silly about that? The Americans will be captained by Gary
McCord and the Internationals by David Feherty, two of the
funniest guys in the game. The one-day event will be taped Nov.
9 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., and televised on
CBS on New Year's Day. Here's how the captains stack up.
