Greatest Moment

June 13, 2004

It was dubbed the Game of the Century: No. 1 Nebraska versus No.
2 Oklahoma, in Norman on Thanksgiving Day 1971. The Sooners led
until late in the fourth quarter, when I-back Jeff Kinney scored
on a two-yard touchdown run to give coach Bob Devaney's
Cornhuskers a 35-31 win. The victory propelled the Huskers to
their second straight national title; they wouldn't win another
until 1994.
