Texans QB Comes of Age

CARR'S DEVELOPMENT

"I see a young quarterback growing up," Texans offensive coordinator Chris Palmer said of David Carr, and that was before the third-year passer directed a 30--17 win over the Raiders. In the fourth quarter of games this season Carr is completing 72.4% of his passes (up 20 percentage points from his first two seasons).

In leading Houston to its first back-to-back wins in franchise history, Carr finished with 14 completions in 23 attempts for 228 yards. His fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Andre Johnson gave the Texans a 10-point lead.
