1 Arizona senior Salim Stoudamire is on fire. During the Wildcats' four-game winning streak, the 6'1" guard averaged 26.3 points and made 58.6% of his three-point attempts.

2 Illinois needs to establish an inside game. Starting center James Augustine, who averages fewer than six shots, made one field goal in the Illini's overtime win against Iowa on Jan. 20. His teammates, meanwhile, hoisted 28 three-point attempts and hit only six.

3 The thumping it got from Villanova last Saturday will be beneficial to Kansas in the long run. The previously undefeated Jayhawks had been skating by of late, winning five of six games by six points or less. The embarrassing loss on the road should help them rediscover their competitive fire. --Seth Davis
