SI: Does knowing you'll likely be Number 1 overall make the draft less nerve-racking?
Bush: It does. I've been preparing to be the Number 1 draft pick, and that's what I'm looking forward to, whether that's with the Houston Texans or another team.
SI: Have you bought your suit for the draft?
Bush: Not yet. I'm going to look for suits this week. I won't wait till the last minute. I don't have an idea of what I want to wear, but I know it will be a three-piece suit.
SI: How do you expect to be used in the pros?
Bush: Very similar to the way I was used at Southern Cal. Coaches have asked me if I still want to return punts and kicks, catch the ball out of the backfield and play receiver. I've told them, "Yes, I want to do those same exact things."
SI: Right now you can't wear number 5 in the NFL because rules stipulate that only quarterbacks, punters and kickers can wear numbers under 20. Will you petition the league to let you wear your college number?
Bush: That's possibly in the works. Hopefully, I'll be able to wear number 5, but at the same time I understand if I'm not able to.
SI: You're about to become even more of a celebrity after the draft. Have you run into anyone who you were surprised to find out knew who you were?
Bush: [Former USC quarterback] Matt Leinart and I did this celebrity fashion show together recently and had a chance to meet some celebrities. I was surprised that Tyrese knew who Leinart and I were.
SI: What was your reaction when you learned that Texas has no state income tax?
Bush: I was excited [laughs]. That was one of the first things I learned about Texas.
