Erb, a freshman righthander at Lock Haven, pitched a two-hit shutout in a 3--0win over Slippery Rock. She is 19-0 with 144 strikeouts and an 0.16 ERA in129.1 innings. She was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference WestDivision pitcher of the week three times this season.

Cowper, a senior at Armstrong Atlantic State, led the Lady Pirates to a 25-0record and a No. 1 national ranking this season, and she repeated as Peach BeltConference player of the year. She went 15-0 in singles play and is thesecond-ranked singles player in the country.

Brian, a junior at Holtville High, led his team, the Lakeshore Lakers, to a66-40 victory over the Milwaukee Wheeling Wizards in the final of the 2006National Wheelchair Basketball Association junior division nationalchampionship. He was named the tournament's MVP and the championship game'smost outstanding player.

Vitrano, a junior midfielder at The College of William & Mary, scored threegoals in the Tribe's 16-12 win over George Mason and followed that with acareer-high six goals and three assists in a 12-6 victory over James Madison.She was named Colonial Athletic Association women's player of the week.

Davis, 13, an eighth-grader at Mill Valley Middle School, won the 19-milecross-country mountain bike event in the junior beginner 14-and-under divisionat the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, Calif. He had a division-best time of1:41:07, and he plans to compete at the USA Cycling nationals this summer.
