Molly Schaus
NATICK, MASS. > Ice Hockey
Schaus, a freshman goaltender at Boston College, set an NCAA Division I record with 73 saves in a 4--3 triple-overtime victory over Harvard in the opening round of the Women's Beanpot Tournament (eventually won by the Eagles). She was named Hockey East defensive player of the week.

Brittany Smart
SPRINGFIELD, OHIO > Basketball
Smart, a senior forward at Cedarville, surpassed 3,000 career points on Feb. 10, a week after becoming the NAIA Division II's alltime leading scorer. She scored a game-high 34 points to lead the Lady Jackets to an 87--76 win over Daeman and their fifth straight American Mideast Conference title.

DALLAS > Wrestling
Ben, a junior at St. Mark's School of Texas, helped the Lions win the team championship by winning the 189-pound weight class, his third conference title, at the Southwest Preparatory Conference Championships. He has lost only one of 45 matches this season.

Cooley, a senior sprinter at Alabama, won his third consecutive 200-meter race, competing in a field of 134 runners at the Iowa State University Classic. His time of 21.27 places him in the top 10 of the Crimson Tide's alltime indoor list. He also tied for first in the 400 meters at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational, in 47.18.

Carly Janiga
PARADISE VALLEY, ARIZ. > Gymnastics
Janiga, a freshman at Stanford, won all four events and the all-around competition with career bests on the vault (9.925), beam (9.900) and all-around (39.575) to help the Cardinal defeat California and remain undefeated in the Pac-10 Conference. She was named Pac-10 gymnast of the week.

Blake Gailen
WEST HILLS, CALIF. > Baseball
Gailen, a senior leftfielder at UNLV, went 11 for 13 (.846), including a home run, four doubles, a triple and five RBIs, and scored eight runs in a three-game series against Cal State--Fullerton. He was the first Mountain West Conference player of the week for the 2007 season.
