MARK GUBICZA, Chaminade College Prep (West Hills, Calif.). The two-time All-Star righthander and Saberhagen's Royals teammate is an assistant for the Eagles. Their teams play each other on April 16.

FRANK VIOLA, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando). The 1987 World Series MVP (left) and 1988 Cy Young Award winner with the Twins guided the Highlanders to their first Florida Class 3A semifinal last year.

CHET LEMON, Eustis (Fla.). The former Tigers and White Sox outfielder, a three-time All-Star, coached the Panthers to last year's Class 4A regional final; he is also the national chairman of AAU baseball.

JOE OLIVER, Pine Castle Christian (Orlando). The former Reds catcher, whose single off the A's Dennis Eckersley won Game 2 of the 1990 World Series, heads Pine Castle, ranked seventh in Florida Class 1A.
