Emma, a senior at Gayville-Volin High, won three events (400,800 and 1,600meters) and ran the anchor leg of the winning 1,600 sprint medley relay at thestate Class B track meet. Named the most outstanding performer, Emma hadqualified in 11 events, with the state's best times in five, but could onlycompete in four.

Johnson, a junior at Oregon State, shot a six-under 210 to win the PGA MinorityCollegiate Golf Championship by 12 strokes at the PGA Golf Club in Port St.Lucie, Fla. Johnson, who was diagnosed with Graves' disease last year, has thethird-best single-season stroke average (72.43) in school history.

Kip Dooley
MINNEAPOLIS > Lacrosse
Kip, a junior attacker for the Blake School, was named an All-America for thesecond time and all-state player for the third time. The only sophomore on lastyear's U.S. lacrosse All-America team, he had 28 goals with 39 assists thatseason and 34 goals and 31 assists this year.

Melissa, a junior forward at Berkner High, was named Gatorade national girls'soccer player of the year, becoming only the seventh nonsenior to win aGatorade award in any sport. A member of the U.S. under-20 team, she had 24goals and 12 assists this year and is the Rams' career scoring leader with 66goals.

LOS GATOS, CALIF. > Rowing
Jeffers, a senior in the stroke seat for Yale's unbeaten varsity eight, helpedthe Bulldogs, ranked second nationally, win the Ivy League title at the EasternSprints. A two-time All-America, she won a silver with the U.S. eight at thelast FISA World Cup and a bronze in the women's fours at the 2006 worldchampionships.

Tyler Scholz
URBANA, MD. > Baseball
Tyler, 8, twice accomplished one of baseball's rarest feats when he turned anunassisted triple play in consecutive games for the White Sharks of the UrbanaJunior Hawks Baseball League. Once as a pitcher and once as a shortstop, Tylercaught line drives with the bases loaded and then tagged two runners.
