Lane, a senior forward at Johns Hopkins, had her second career hat trick and four assists for a school-record 10 points in a 9--0 win over Washington College; she was named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. This year she has five goals and a team-leading nine assists.

Kuijken, a sophomore at Florida State, won the 6K Pre-National Meet Blue Race in 19:55.5, a course record. (It was broken again that day by Jenny Barringer of Colorado.) An All-America selection in 2006, she is undefeated in four races this fall.

CAVE JUNCTION, ORE. > Football
Larry, a senior running back and cornerback at Illinois Valley High, ran the ball 19 times for 395 yards and six rushing touchdowns, including scoring runs of 70 and 90 yards, in a 45--6 win over Pleasant Hill. He also had an 80-yard TD reception and intercepted a pass.

Alex, a freshman at Choctawhatchee Senior High, broke the under-14 national record in the 100-meter breaststroke in a time of 1:12.78 at the AAU Junior Olympics. He won five events at the meet and earned medals in three others.

WALPOLE, MASS. > Field Hockey
Collins, a senior forward at Vermont, was selected to play in the Division I Senior All-Star Game. She holds the Catamounts' season and career records for goals (48) and points (121) and has been named to the America East All-Conference team three times.

Graciano Brito
SÃO NICOLAU, CAPE VERDE > Soccer
Brito, a junior forward at Quinnipiac, is tied for first in Division I in goals per game (1.00) and is second in points (2.25). This season he has 12 goals (four game-winners), including hat tricks against Army and Canisius, and three assists. He has twice been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
