The Bruins may have stolen a player in the 2006 draft: Second-rounder Milan Lucic is a big (6'4", 220 pounds), physical winger who's improving under the tutelage of Hall of Fame power forward Cam Neely, now a Boston vice president. Lucic doesn't back down, and he can change a game's flow with his hitting prowess.... They may deny it, but the Sharks have mentioned captain Patrick Marleau (right) in trade talks. The speedy center had just eight goals through Sunday. He may be expendable as San Jose tries to become more consistent offensively.... This summer's prized free agent could be a coach—Detroit's Mike Babcock, who has transformed the Wings from a soft, skilled team into an in-your-face bunch. Despite a 141-44-25 record over two-plus seasons with Detroit, Babcock has not gotten the contract extension he deserves; he may not exercise his option to stay next season.
