Twist and Shout
Devils goalie Martin Brodeur (center) was separated from his headgear during a collision with Rangers left wing Ryan Callahan in Game 3 of their first-round NHL playoff series on Sunday at Madison Square Garden. New Jersey earned a hard-fought 4--3 win in overtime (though Ranger Paul Mara got the upper hand on Mike Rupp, inset) to cut New York's series lead to two games to one (page 66).

Gift for Garb
Maasai warriors from Eluai in northern Tanzania posed along the River Thames last Friday, two days before they ran the London Marathon (inset). The men raced in traditional tribal dress—and in sandals made from recycled rubber tires—to raise money for their drought-ravaged village (maasaimarathon.org).

Tree-Base Hit
Tiger Woods blasted out of the pine needles with his second shot on the par-5 13th hole at Augusta National on Sunday during the final round of the Masters (page 30). Woods made five on the hole, carded a par 72 and finished the tournament at five under, three shots back of first-time champion Trevor Immelman (inset).
