WHO'S Hot

Rosario
Second-year tight end Dante Rosario has officially arrived as a Panther, snagging seven passes for 96 yards (he had six catches all last year),including the big one—a 14-yard last-second touchdown to beat the Chargers.Said winning QB Jake Delhomme: "He's got that fire inside."

Cliff Lee
The pitcher (right) is now 21--2, the highest winning percentage for a 20-gamewinner ever. That's especially impressive because the Indians are lousy (they'dhave been 48--70, through Sunday, without Lee's decisions) and because he was5--8 last year, and because, well, he's 21--2!

Fish
As in Mardy (right), the 26-year-old American who made his deepest run everinto the U.S. Open (fourth round) and even took a set off Rafa before asupportive crowd. Off the court he's also a winner: He's engaged to Deal or NoDeal case-holder Stacey Gardner.

Torre(s)
While Joe Torre's old team foundered in the Bronx, his Dodgers won eightstraight to move into first. And medal-strewn swimmer Dara Torres (right, threesilvers in Beijing) was feeling the love again, as she strutted the catwalk atNew York Fashion Week in clothes by designer Charles Nolan.

WHO'S Not

Ocho Cinco
The NFL forbade the Bengals' Chad Ocho Cinco (né Johnson) from wearing hissurname on his jersey—the league said Reebok, wagging the dog, wouldn't haveit. By any name Ocho Cinco's Sunday was a dud, with just one catch in a loss toBaltimore. Said he: "I'm not sure what happened."

Seattle
The SuperSonics are gone, the Mariners remain a colossal bust (an AL-worst56--86 record, a $117 million payroll), and the Seahawks offer no solace. They're hurting (notably the receivers and running back Maurice Morris) andineffective, as a 34--10 loss in Buffalo showed.

Fish
As in the (actually mammalian) Dolphins, who fell to the Jets for the fifthstraight time (page 38), and as in the Marlins, who by losing six of 10 hadslipped off the wild-card pace and were drawing their smallest crowds (12,000and fewer) in months.

Scott Linehan
Year three in St. Louis is already looking too much like years one and two. After rolling over in a 38--3 loss to the Eagles, Linehan's Rams are 11--22 inhis coaching tenure, and fans (what's left of them) are getting restless."I've got to win," he said before the season. Now, how long can he hangon?
