After the holidays I get away, so in February I'll go to Troms√∏, Norway, for the Norwegian Reindeer Racing Championships. Racers on skis are towed by reindeer along a 200-meter track. (I'll just watch; flying reindeer are banned.) I'll spend the summer training for the 2010 Arctic Winter Games in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The Games are a mix of snow sports (cross-country skiing, dog mushing) and traditional Inuit competitions like the knuckle hop: contestants hop as far as they can on their knuckles and toes. Even if your belly isn't a bowl full of jelly, it's hard.
